Choral Eucharist
'Choral Eucharist' is a service of worship steeped in tradition, using incense and bells. We join in prayer to give thanks and praise to God and share in the Eucharist of Holy Communion, where people are fed with bread and wine as symbols of Jesus feeding us. Worship is enhanced by beautiful music, mostly Organ and Choir.
The service aims to help the congregation listen to and reflect on the Word of God, with readings from both the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) and the New Testament. These texts are explored by the priest in the sermon.
Some prayers are sung and the congregation join in hymn singing to express their love and gratitude to God.
This service normally lasts 60 minutes and all are welcome to share morning tea in the Synod Hall, to provide an opportunity to get to know each other better.
