Taizé – Service of Songs and Prayers

The Taizé Service is meditative in nature, beginning with songs and turning off outside distractions.​​

Format

• Singing is one of the most essential elements of worship and short songs, repeated again and again, give it a meditative character

• Meditative singing provides an expression of a basic reality of faith and becomes a way of listening to God, allowing all to take part in a time of prayer together and remain attention to God

• Songs or chants sustain personal prayer and through them our being finds an inner unity in God

• You can choose either to kneel or sit during the service

• This service invites you to waste time with God, to relax, be at peace and let the Holy Spirit do His work!
